Worship Gatherings::
You've probably noticed that there are many different ways that the church worships God. Some sing hymns, some sing newer songs, some raise their hands as a symbol of adoration and dependence on God, others prefer to sit in silence and meditate on who God is.
Not everyone worships God the same way.
So on Sunday mornings, we have two worship gatherings to choose from:
The Celebration Service
The worship and praise ministry of the Celebration Service is led by Pastor Jerry Mapes. His upbeat ministry (utilizing a variety of music styles, choral & orchestral music, and special music) is loved and appreciated by people of all ages. The worship is designed to give us opportunity to connect with God and to express to him our love and adoration. It also leads us to the focus of preaching God's Word, utilizing expository book studies and topical studies, presented to make God's Word relevant to individuals and families in a confusing and tumultuous world. Emphasis is placed on making Jesus Christ Lord of our lives, and grounding our lives in the Truth of God's Word.
Utilizing his years of experience as a Bible Teacher and his training as a counselor/therapist, Pastor Guy Ascherman leads the ministry of the Word, sharing useful insights into life's challenges. People feel welcome and comfortable in this service, which has a family church atmosphere.
The Celebration Service is on Sunday mornings, @ 8:30am & 10:30am.
The Journey Gathering
Are you new to church? or have you been away for awhile? Do you have questions about God, faith, or who you are? Do you find the Bible difficult to navigate?
Whether you are someone searching for answers or someone who has been following Jesus your whole life, you will find the Journey Gathering a safe & comfortable place. We don't have all the answers...but we know the One who does. So we teach the Bible asking Jesus to look over our shoulders and guide us. And as we freely receive, so we freely give. We give of our worship, worship that comes from the heart and goes beyond the music.
The Journey Gathering is on Sunday night @ 6:00pm.
