BIO: Anita and I have dated since the 8th grade. We have been married for 33 years, have three grown sons, all married, two daughters in Heaven, and two granddaughters. Raised in Modoc County, we had planned a “home on the range,” but God had other plans. Jesus entered our lives when we were 22 years-old, living in Reno, attending the College of Agriculture at UNR. Most people don’t travel to Reno to find the Lord, but that’s what happened to us! Over the years, the Lord has allowed a rich diversity in our experiences. Like most people, that rich diversity is usually appreciated more in hind sight, than at the moment. Our journey has included church planting and pastoring, Christian school planting and teaching, church administration, and banking and financing. In more recent years, I returned to school to study counseling psychology, and love to contemplate the soul of man, and how our needs are met in relation with our Creator / Redeemer. The spiritual journey is a fascinating one.
I love the people of our church. God’s leading in bringing us to RCF is nothing short of a miracle. Thank you for this special privilege.
You’d never think: My wife and I were real life cowboy and cowgirl. Our first home was on a beef cattle ranch near Fort Bidwell, California. The first church I pastored had no running water and had an outhouse on the side of the building.
Favorite Books/CD’s/Movies: BOOKS: Sacred Romance by Eldridge; Man’s Search for Meaning by Frankl. CD’s – Phillips, Craig & Dean. MOVIES: Patch Adams, Hunt for Red October.
Hobbies: I love to spend time relaxing in the back yard with my wife. We have an above ground pool that helps us cope with the heat. In the winter, I enjoy reading. And in spite of some rather dismal performances lately, I am a 49er and Kings fan.
