BIO: Just as the disciples were called out of their vocations into full time service, so was I. I never wanted to be a pastor, a music minister, or a missionary. I dropped out of college because I was sure that God didn’t want me in ministry. Yet here I am, and I love it. I’ve been on staff here for 14 years. In my previous working life, I sold very expensive espresso brewers to up-scale restaurants. I lived and breathed coffee (my Dad was in the coffee industry for 42 years, so I was a natural). I’m the youngest of three kids (my siblings said I was spoiled - they were correct!). My wife of 32 years and two daughters moved to Redding in 1990. Managing two offices I had the choice of living in Sacramento or Redding, we chose Redding. The Lord had used all of our moves within my coffee company to prepare Bonnie and I for the calling He placed on our lives. Now I have the joy of watching my oldest daughter (Rachael) and her husband (Nick) in full time ministry. Our youngest daughter, Esther, is a mentor for the youth program at our church. I’m very proud!

You'd Never Think: In high school, I played football and was a drum major in the marching band at the same time...halftimes were interesting.

Favorite CD/Book/Movie: I’m not much of a reader, but I love the Bible. I don’t watch too many movies, but one I still laugh at is "Young Frankenstein". (I know it’s embarrassing!)

Hobbies: I love to build things and landscape. I love to fish and spend time in the great outdoors. But most of all, I enjoy being with my family and my amazing grandson, Zechariah.
