October 12 departure from San Francisco.

October 13 arrival at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv. Time to be determined. Overnight in Tel Aviv hotel.

Oct 14. Visits to Jaffa (city of Jonah) and Israel’s largest city, Tel Aviv. Overnight in Yad Hashmona, Jerusalem.

Oct. 15-18 Full and exciting days in Jerusalem. We will visit the Western Wall, and see the foundations of the Second Temple. A model of old Jerusalem to scale will help us see what the city was like in the time of Christ. Among the additional sites we will see are Yad Vashem (Holocaust museum), the Mount of Olives, Gethsemane, the Garden Tomb, Biblical Gardens, the Old City, the pool of Bethesda, St. Anne’s Church, the old city and its Christian, Armenian, Muslim, and Jewish Quarters, the Via Dolorosa, Hezekiah’s tunnel, and other sites as will be determined later.

We will also head south to the Negev region where some will want to experience a “swim” in the Dead Sea or a mud bath known for their healing properties and health benefits.  We will see Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered, and ride a cable car to Masada, a place rich in Jewish history. On our way back to Jerusalem we will stop at Jericho (said to be the oldest city in the world) and its ancient spring known as Elisha’s Spring, which still supplies water to that area. We will also enjoy a visit to a Bedouin area where we will enjoy a meal together and perhaps an overnight in a Bedouin tent (for the brave) complete with camel rides.

October 19-21. We will now head north to the Galilee region where we will stay at the resort Kibbutz Ein Gev on the shores of the Sea of Galilee. Our time in this region will be spent visiting Tiberias, Nazareth, Megiddo, Capernaum, and Caeserea on the Mediterranean, a city with Roman aqueducts, theater and famous port. We will enjoy a meaningful boat excursion on the Sea of Galilee, as well as the beautiful fruits and gardens of this rich agricultural area.

October 22   We enjoy a final dinner together and prepare for our return flight to San Francisco. We are all tired but exhilarated with the memories and experiences we have just enjoyed together.

Cost:   Our cost without airfare will be approximately $1800 per person double occupancy. This amount includes all entrance fees, experienced guide and bus driver, breakfasts and dinners, (beverages are usually extra). Our bus will be air conditioned and offers wi-fi on board.   We are still making arrangements for our flights so you should add at least $1000 for airfare cost per person. We will also offer you travel insurance options which are very highly recommended. If you elect to use frequent flier points or make your own travel arrangements, you will need to check to be sure your arrival and departure times match closely with those of the rest of the group.

Our guide will be a licensed, experienced Messianic believer. We have worked with him on several occasions in the past and you will absolutely love his delightful accent, sense of humor, and knowledge about the places we will see. Most of all you will be delighted to see how he makes the Bible come alive for us. Our guide is the father of missionaries in Israel whom our church supports.

A very special feature of our tour will be the opportunity for us to spend some time with our missionaries to hear of their burden for the Land. We are also making arrangements to meet other ministry leaders in Israel to learn how they serve God in this very special place. This will be a highlight for us all.

The above is a preliminary description of our tour with more details and printed brochures to follow. Our group will be limited to 25 persons maximum. Please indicate your interest or ask questions you may have by emailing
