    The Impossible Situations of Life

How Has God Forced Us to Acknowledge Our Limitations?
    Speaker: Caleb Little
    Scripture: Daniel 2:10–11, 24–30, 31–45

In Daniel 2, King Nebuchadnezzar's impossible demand exposed the limits of human wisdom, power, and understanding. The wise men of Babylon openly admitted that no person could do what the king was asking, revealing a truth that all of us eventually face: there are situations in life that exceed our abilities.

Rather than relying on himself, Daniel turned to God in prayer and acknowledged that only God could reveal the mystery. When God provided the dream and its interpretation, Daniel refused to take credit, pointing instead to "the God in heaven who reveals mysteries." Through this, we see that God often allows us to reach the end of our own strength so that we will learn to depend on Him.

The dream itself reminded Nebuchadnezzar that even the greatest kingdoms and rulers are temporary. Human power, success, and control all have limits, but God's kingdom stands forever. When God exposes our limitations, it is not to discourage us but to redirect our trust from ourselves to Him.

    Key Takeaway:
God uses impossible situations to remind us that our wisdom, strength, and control are limited. As we acknowledge our dependence on Him, we discover that He is the One who reveals mysteries, provides what we cannot, and rules over every kingdom and circumstance.

    What God Gives

What has the Lord placed in your hands?

In Book of Daniel Chapter 1, we see that even in exile, God was still giving wisdom, favor, strength, and conviction to His people. Pastor Caleb concludes our study through Daniel 1 as we reflect on the gifts, grace, and calling the Lord has entrusted to each of us.

    A Life Set Apart

    Question:
How are we setting ourselves apart for Christ?

Pastor Caleb continues in the book of Book of Daniel with Daniel 1:8–16, looking at the conviction and obedience of Daniel and his friends as they chose to remain faithful to God even in a culture that sought to reshape them.

This passage challenges us to consider what it truly means to live set apart — not through perfection or performance, but through daily surrender, conviction, and devotion to Christ.

    What Influences you?

“How Are You Being Influenced?” (Daniel 1:1–7)
Pastor Caleb asks the question, “How are you being influenced?” as he teaches from Daniel 1:1–7. In Babylon, Daniel, Hananiah, Azaraiah and Mishiel faced pressure to conform in identity and values, yet remained faithful to God. This passage challenges us to examine how the world shapes us and calls us to stand firm, rooted in God’s truth.

    The Faithfulness of God

Pastor Caleb begins a new series in Daniel, asking, “What does the faithfulness of God look like?” In Daniel 1:1–2, even as Judah is taken into exile, we see that God is still in control. His faithfulness isn’t dependent on circumstances—He is sovereign and present, even in hardship, working out His purposes.
