IMPACT
Providing hope, support, and love to children facing difficult circumstances or who simply need a little extra care
Through weekly school visits, we build meaningful friendships with children by listening, encouraging, playing games, and reminding them they are seen, valued, and capable of great things.

Yes! Being a mentor is a 1 year commitment. There are regular meetings with your mentee every week. At the end of a school year you can decide if you want to do it again.
Along with that we will have mentor get togethers and training sessions scheduled throughout the school year.

Impact Ministry, facilitated by Redding Christian Fellowship, exists to build meaningful relationships with children through encouragement, consistency, and care. We primarily serve students in 1st–8th grade through weekly school visits, always partnering with and supporting school staff. As mentors, we share Christ's love through our character and actions, while respecting school policies and each child's family.
To be a mentor, volunteers must:
Be 18 years or older
Complete an application, interview, and training
Pass a DOJ/FBI fingerprint background check
Follow all school policies and regulations
Receive parent permission before mentoring begins

Hello, my name is Luke! I was born and raised here in the Redding area.
I have grown up in the church, and it has always been a part of my life in one way or another. It wasn’t until I became an adult that I slowly began to make that faith my own. Over time, I have become more involved here at RCF.
I recently graduated from college with an A.S. degree in Systems Management. I pursued IT and also earned several certificates during my time in school. I enjoy working with technology, and I worked in IT for a few years before joining the team here at RCF. I enjoy a lot of different things, but I am someone who loves solving problems and fixing things—whether that’s working on my cars or tackling various tech projects. I am also a big fan of many forms of media, including movies, TV shows, and video games!
One of my favorite verses is:
"Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance." — James 1:2–3 (NIV)
I am so glad that I am able to serve the Lord in this role—something I never expected. I get to do what I am good at, be around great people, and share the love of Christ with others!
