At RCF, we believe marriage is worth investing in. Whether you’re preparing to say “I do,” have been married for a few months, or have spent decades together, every marriage can benefit from encouragement, connection, and opportunities to grow. RCF Marriage Ministries exists to help couples build, strengthen, and sustain healthy, Christ-centered marriages.
Through biblical teaching, practical tools, mentoring, meaningful relationships, and opportunities to simply enjoy being together, we want to help couples grow spiritually, emotionally, and relationally.
Marriage has wonderful seasons, and difficult ones too. Wherever you are in your journey, our desire is to walk alongside you as you strengthen your friendship, deepen your relationship with Christ and one another, and build the kind of marriage that can flourish for a lifetime.
Ultimately, we believe strong, Christ-centered marriages have an impact far beyond the husband and wife. They strengthen families, build a stronger church and community, and influence future generations.
-
The heart behind RCF Marriage Ministries is a simple belief: healthy marriages matter. They matter to husbands and wives, to children and families, to the church, and ultimately to the community around us.
Our vision is to create a Christ-centered marriage ministry where couples are encouraged and equipped to build marriages that do more than simply survive, they flourish. We want to come alongside couples with biblical truth, practical tools, meaningful relationships, and mentoring that help them grow spiritually, emotionally, and relationally through every season of marriage.
Our hope is for RCF Marriage Ministries to become a trusted resource for couples throughout the Redding area, a place where marriages are strengthened, struggling couples find support, healthy couples continue to grow, and experienced couples have opportunities to invest in others.
Ultimately, we want to see strong, Christ-centered marriages create a lasting impact: transforming families, influencing future generations, strengthening our church, and making a meaningful difference in our community.

RCF Marriage Ministries is for couples in every season of their relationship. While much of our ministry is focused on married couples, engaged couples are absolutely welcome and encouraged to participate.
We believe some of the best work a couple can do for their marriage happens before the wedding day. For engaged couples, we want to help build a strong biblical foundation and provide practical tools that prepare them for a healthy, Christ-centered marriage.
For married couples, whether you are newlyweds, raising children, navigating challenges, enjoying the empty-nest years, or have been married for decades, there is a place for you. You don’t have to be struggling to benefit from Marriage Ministries. We want healthy marriages to become even stronger while also providing encouragement, mentoring, and support for couples walking through difficult seasons.
Our goal is to meet couples where they are and help them continue growing spiritually, emotionally, and relationally as they build a marriage that can flourish for a lifetime.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 represents the heart of RCF Marriage Ministries:
Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
We believe marriage is a partnership designed by God, and a picture of the relationship between God and his people. A husband and wife are called to walk alongside one another, encourage one another, and help one another through both the joys and challenges of life.
For us, the third strand represents Christ at the center of the marriage. When a husband and wife are growing not only toward one another but also toward Christ, their marriage has a stronger foundation for enduring difficult seasons, experiencing genuine unity, and flourishing over a lifetime.
That is at the heart of RCF Marriage Ministries: helping couples build marriages in which Christ is woven into every part of their relationship so that together they can strengthen their family, influence future generations, and reflect His love to the world around them.

Couples can expect a welcoming, encouraging environment where they can invest in their marriage, connect with other couples, and grow together in their relationship with Christ.
Our goal is to make marriage ministry both meaningful and enjoyable. Some opportunities are designed simply to give couples a chance to have fun, reconnect, and enjoy being together, while others provide biblical teaching, practical relationship tools, small-group connection, mentoring, and opportunities for deeper growth.
Couples can expect honest conversations about real marriage, both the joys and the challenges. We want to provide practical resources that couples can take home and use in everyday life to strengthen communication, deepen friendship, navigate conflict, grow spiritually, and become more intentional about their relationship.
There is no expectation that every couple participate in everything we offer. Couples can get involved in ways that fit their needs and season of life. Whether they come for a Date Night Done Right event, participate in a study, connect with a mentor couple, or simply begin building relationships with other married couples, our hope is that they leave encouraged, better connected, and equipped to continue building a healthy, Christ-centered marriage.
-
RCF Marriage Ministries offers a variety of opportunities designed to help couples connect, grow, and strengthen their marriages throughout the year.
One of our primary gatherings is Date Night Done Right, a monthly event designed to give couples an intentional evening together. These nights combine fun, fellowship, biblical encouragement, and practical conversations about topics that matter in marriage, including friendship, communication, conflict, roles, partnership, and building a lasting marital legacy.
Beyond Date Night Done Right, we offer marriage-focused studies and small-group opportunities that allow couples to explore important topics in greater depth. We also have a marriage mentoring program that connects couples with experienced, trained mentor couples who can walk alongside them with encouragement, biblical wisdom, and practical support.
Our ministry also seeks to support couples as they prepare for marriage through premarital resources and guidance, as well as provide opportunities for husbands and wives to grow individually and together through focused gatherings, workshops, and special events.
For couples experiencing more significant challenges or a season of crisis, our Marriage Ministries team includes an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who provides professional couples counseling and therapy. This allows us to offer a more holistic approach to marriage ministry, recognizing that some couples may benefit from support that extends beyond a class, event, or mentoring relationship.
Our desire is to provide resources for every season of marriage, from preparing for marriage and building a strong foundation to strengthening healthy marriages, supporting couples through difficult seasons, and helping experienced couples invest in the marriages of the next generation.
-
