"What do you see?"

In Mark 15:33–39, we stand at the foot of the cross during one of the most significant moments in history. Darkness covers the land, Jesus cries out, and the curtain in the temple is torn in two. To some, the cross looked like defeat, suffering, and loss. But to others—like the Roman centurion—it revealed something more: the Son of God.

In this message, we’ll explore how what we see at the cross shapes our understanding of God, ourselves, and our faith. Do we see only suffering, or do we see sacrifice? Do we see tragedy, or do we see redemption? As we walk through this powerful passage, we’ll be invited to look again at the cross and discover the hope, grace, and love revealed through Jesus’ death—and consider how seeing clearly changes everything.
